Teams

We have been working on our team page. We have decided on our team roles too. I am the project manager, Madison is the artist/visual/sound, and Sammie is Coder. We put down some of our game ideas down on our team page. Our background is blue and we dont have any characters. Our noises are going to be regular game noises. The objects that are going to be on our game is going to be shapes. The text that is going to be on our game is going to be the instructions that will tell you how to play the game and what to do on the game. The buttons that are on our game is the play button and the play again button and the quit button. I think we will do a great job and make a great game.

Paper Prototyping

We worked on paper prototyping and then we had to go and video it. It took us the whole class for us to get ours videoed because we kept messing up. But in the end it turned out good and we got it done. It was pretty fun. First we had to tell them what our team was called and then we had to read the directions to the game. Then we had to read all the things that our game was going to do. The paper prototyping was kind of hard but it was pretty fun when we got to video.

Team Expectations

My team is called The Dream Team. We have been brainstorming some things like who will make sound and who will be the person that works in flash or the artist and manager. We all have different things we have to work on. I am going to work on the sound and Madison is going to be the artist and Sammie is going to be the manager and the person that works in flash. Our game idea was to do the game on volume. We all agreed to do the game on volume and we all agreed to what positions we got to be in.

Game idea reflection

I uploaded my mini game onto my wiki and here is the link:http://www.myglife.org/usa/wv/bmswiki/index.php/User:BrandenG/Projects. It is half way down the page and you can play the game. We had to follow all the directions to get it uploaded and to get it on our wiki. It wasn't that hard it was kind of easy. All we had to do was make the game and then click on the upload multiple button and then clicked upload file and then it uploaded it right onto the wiki. It was pretty neat and i think it was kind of fun. Uploading was a little hard but i finally understood it and uploaded it. We also uploaded some text with it too. It was the hard part cause you had to go and count how many words you had because you had to have less than 200 words and over 100 and i had to keep on counting and then i had to keep going back and forth trying to follow the directions and it telling me how to do it. But it paid off because i got my mini game done and the text too.

Mini Game project

We have started on a Mini Game, and it is pretty easy. So far we have 3 layers one of them is called bunny Layer and our actions layer is a big part of our project because that's how we put our actions in into the mini game like to make your rabbit move up and down you have to go to your actions layer and then you have to put in a formula in the actions layer and then click Test Video and it will show you what your game looks like up to that point. We worked on a Collision which means when your carrot goes to your rabbit the rabbit eats it and the carrot starts from the beginning again. Then we set up our score. That is where the rabbit eats the carrot and then your score will go up by one every time your rabbit eats a carrot. Flash is pretty simple.

Flash Introduction

I read an introduction to Flash today and it seems kind of hard. I read some comments too and they think it was hard too. I think making the figures and trees and walls and stuff will be hard but i think all of the other stuff will be easy. I would like to learn how to make a Flash thing without it being hard.

Social Issue Review

Yesterday, we went to the choosing a topic and then we went on choosing a game topic and then we got to write down some of the Social Issues in our city. Some of the Issues we put down is Poverty, Environment, Civic participation, and Health, and how our city relates to them. I found out that our city has to get the environment better and better health. We also need good educations so we can go to college and get a job. If we get those problems solved then our city Will be a good one.
